Abera Bioscience AB (“Abera” or the “Company”) today announces that CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations) has decided to extend the ongoing project supporting the development of Abera’s BERA vaccine platform and the Company’s innovative influenza vaccine candidate. The project period has been extended until December 31, 2026, with the budget remaining unchanged.
The extension enables Abera to complete and analyze ongoing in vivo studies and prepare for the next phase of development. This work includes scale-up and industrialization of the manufacturing process ahead of the production of material for toxicology studies and a future Phase 1 clinical trial.
During the course of the project, Abera has achieved several important milestones, and the results from completed studies have been encouraging. Several additional in vivo studies are currently ongoing and under analysis. The extension will enable the Company to complete this work while intensifying preparations for the next phase of development.
CEPI’s decision to extend the project provides an opportunity for the organization to continue evaluating the results from the ongoing studies as well as the potential of the BERA vaccine platform within the framework of CEPI’s 100 Days Mission, which aims to accelerate the development of vaccines against future pandemic threats.

The project will now continue until December 31, 2026, with the budget maintained at its current level.
CEPI förlänger stöd till Aberas utveckling av vaccinplattformen BERA
Abera Bioscience AB (“Abera” eller “Bolaget”) meddelar idag att CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations) har beslutat att förlänga det pågående projektet som stödjer utvecklingen av Aberas vaccinplattform BERA och bolagets innovativa influensavaccinkandidat. Projektperioden förlängs till den 31 december 2026 med oförändrad budget.
Förlängningen ger Abera möjlighet att färdigställa och analysera pågående in vivo-studier samt förbereda nästa utvecklingsfas. Arbetet omfattar bland annat uppskalning och industrialisering av tillverkningsprocessen inför produktion av material för toxikologiska studier och en framtida klinisk fas 1-studie.
Under projektets gång har Abera uppnått flera viktiga milstolpar, och resultaten från genomförda studier har varit uppmuntrande. Flera ytterligare in vivo-studier pågår för närvarande och analyseras. Genom förlängningen får bolaget möjlighet att slutföra detta arbete samtidigt som förberedelserna för nästa utvecklingsfas intensifieras.
CEPIs beslut att förlänga projektet skapar förutsättningar för dem att fortsatta utvärdering av resultaten från de pågående studierna samt potentialen i vaccinplattformen BERA inom ramen för organisationens 100 Days Mission för snabb utveckling av vacciner mot framtida pandemihot.
